This laboratory is a high-level scientific research and innovation platform jointly built by Hubei Jinlong and Wuhan Textile University, based on its profound accumulation in the field of industrial textiles and flexible composite materials. The laboratory closely focuses on the national strategy and core industrial needs, focusing on four research directions: structural design and failure mechanism research of flexible composite materials in extreme environments, interface structure and functional coordination mechanism research of multiphase system flexible composite materials, research on the integration and intelligent response characteristics of light/heat/electricity multifunctionality of flexible composite materials, and research on advanced manufacturing processes and green intelligent manufacturing technologies of flexible composite materials. The laboratory is equipped with a research and development team of 40 people, nearly 150 sets of testing equipment and 50 pilot lines, and has a solid scientific research foundation. In the past five years, it has undertaken 28 national and provincial major scientific research projects, won the second prize of the the State Technological Innovation Award, one second prize of the Scientific and Technological Progress Award, and 14 scientific and technological awards in Hubei Province.
