Whether it's building sand piles on construction sites, outdoor equipment, or grass stacks in farmyards, waterproof tarpaulinIf it's not safe, a rain is a disaster. Many people think that 'covering up is enough', but in fact, it's completely different. Pay attention to these key points during installation.

Attention 1: Cleaning and inspection to prevent "internal injuries"

Before laying, the debris below must be cleaned thoroughly. Even a small stone, covered by a tarpaulin, can be a hole when stepped on or pressed by the wind. At the same time, check the tarpaulin itself for any old damage. If there are small holes, use specialized repair tape to stick them in advance. Don't wait until it rains to discover them.

Note 2: Terrain and drainage, the core is "no water storage"

This is the most easily overlooked point.

High in the middle and low around: If covering a flat object (such as a pile of sand), the middle should be raised to form a "roof" shape with the tarpaulin. If the middle of the tarpaulin is concave and accumulates a pool of water, over time the water pressure will crush the tarpaulin, and the sun will heat it up and accelerate aging.

Edge suspension: The edge of the tarpaulin should protrude at least 50 centimeters from the edge of the stack, and should be suspended and drooping to allow water to flow along the edge to the ground. Do not press the edge tightly against the bottom of the object, as water will flow back in.

Note 3: Fixed should be "evenly distributed" and avoid "pulling hard"

Don't just pull four corners, as the wind will bulge in the middle like a balloon.

Punching or buttonholes around: Good tarpaulins have metal buttonholes all around. Fix a point every 50-80 centimeters.

Use elastic ropes or ground nails: Use ground nails to fix the ground, and leave some elasticity margin for the rope after straightening. Do not tightly twist the tarpaulin with wire, as it can easily tear due to thermal expansion and contraction.

Heavy object edge pressing: If there is no fixed point, use sandbags or waste tires to press on the edge of the tarpaulin. Be careful not to stack only one tire, press one at a distance of 1 meter, and connect them in a straight line.

Attention 4: Sunscreen and Wear Protection

Color selection: For long-term outdoor use, choose silver or white tarpaulins that reflect sunlight, have good cooling effects, and have a longer lifespan than black.

Anti abrasion treatment: Soft cloth or cardboard must be placed on any sharp edges (such as equipment edges). The wind blows the tarpaulin, like a file, and it can be worn through in a few days.

Summary: The core of installing waterproof tarpaulin is four sentences - clean the base to prevent punctures, have a protruding middle for good drainage, fix multiple points to prevent spinning, and use angular soft cushions to prevent wear and tear.
