This article provides a complete solution for "pulling goods without getting wet" from three aspects: size matching, fixing techniques, and material upgrading.
Size matching: length, width, and height need to be "customized"
The size of the truck canopy should be 10-15cm larger than the carriage (leaving a fixed margin):
Length=carriage length+20cm (with an additional 10cm at the front and rear for easy insertion into the edges of the carriage);
Width=carriage width+30cm (15cm on each side, covering the carriage side panels);
Height=carriage height+10cm (with an additional 10cm at the top to prevent rainwater from pouring back).
If the tarpaulin is too small, rainwater will seep in through the gaps; If it is too large, it is easy to be blown by the wind, which increases the difficulty of fixation.
Fixed technique: 3-step windproof lifting
Edge fixation: Use elastic rope (recommended 8mm diameter rubber rope) to thread through the metal buckle on the edge of the tarpaulin, tie it around the bottom of the carriage, and fix it at a point every 50cm;
Top pressure: Place sandbags or stones (every 2 meters) on top of the tarpaulin to prevent them from being lifted by strong winds;
Cross binding: Use nylon rope to cross bind from the front to the rear of the carriage (forming an "X" shape) to increase overall stability.
Caution: Avoid tying the tarpaulin directly with wire as it may scratch the coating.
Material upgrade: Select tarpaulin according to the type of goods
Ordinary goods (such as building materials and daily necessities): choose PVC tarpaulin (with strong tear resistance and moderate price);
Precision instruments (such as electronic products and furniture): choose silicone coated cloth (waterproof grade up to IPX6, which can prevent rainstorm);
Corrosive goods (such as fertilizers and salt): Choose PE+anti-corrosion coating tarpaulin (acid and alkali resistant, with a 50% longer lifespan).
