1. Choose cloth

First, calculate the area: length x width x height x 1.3 (fold factor) of the car board=required square meters.

PVC knife scraping cloth with a thickness of ≥ 0.6 mm and a weight of ≥ 650 g/㎡ must be tear resistant; It is better to have a 50mm high-frequency welding "wind buckle eye" on the side.

2. Clear the car

Clean the car board, remove burrs, and fold the straps to prevent small stones from being used as knives. Use waste tires or pearl cotton strips as "corner pads" for sharp edges, otherwise the first brake will cut the fabric out.

3. Positioning

Park the car on a hard ground with no slopes, pits, or overhead power lines. Use the trailer valve to release air and lower the plate, with a height of ≤ 1.5 meters, and reduce the height of the lifting cloth. Stop covering immediately when the wind reaches level 6 or above.

4. Laying cloth - "First in the middle, then at both ends, press the windward side first"

① Two people stand on both sides of the station, unfold the cloth roll to the rear of the car, and align the center line of the cloth with the center line of the car.

② Cover the rear of the car first: Cover the rear with a cloth 30 cm through the tailgate to prevent rainwater from pouring in.

③ Turn back and pull towards the front of the car, with the cloth covering 20cm above the front bumper. The entire fabric is covered with a "wind outlet pressing down on the air outlet", with a stacking width of ≥ 20 cm.

5. Tensioning - "First diagonal, then waistline, and finally locked into a cross shape"

① Four corner pull first: Use a ratchet to tighten the straps (25 mm wide, with a breaking force ≥ 2 t) diagonally and pull each other, so that the overall "eardrum" of the fabric is tightened, and the middle cannot be inserted into the palm to be qualified.

② Waist tie: Every 1 meter, use a "D-ring+rubber rope" to lock the waist and side rail of the car to prevent driving.

③ Tail door "cross": Two horizontal and two vertical straps intersect, completely pressing the tail cloth onto the door panel to prevent "wind blowing curtains".

6. Leak detection - "one look, two touch, three watering"

Look: The fabric has no "upward folds" or water accumulation pits.

Touch: Place your hand between the fabric and the goods, and feel if there is any "draft".

Watering: Pour water from a mineral water bottle onto the top of the cloth and observe if there is any water seepage at the seams. If water droplets penetrate within 10 seconds, immediately apply adhesive tape.

7. Drive tightly

Tighten the straps three times before departure, in the first service area, and after 150 km. The PVC cloth has "creep" in the new car compartment, and it will loosen halfway without re inspection.

Long distance highway: Pressing a "windproof net+ratchet belt" horizontally on the top of the cloth can reduce the pressure on the windward side by 30%.

On rainy and snowy days: The middle of the cloth roof is slightly arched at a slope of 1% (with a difference of 5 cm in front and back), and there is no accumulation of water.

Unloading and emptying: Fold the fabric into an "accordion" shape, roll it up along the front of the car, with the fabric facing inward to prevent damage from road stones.

Following these seven steps, a trailer tarpaulin can be covered with "zero wrinkles, zero looseness, and zero leakage" within 20 minutes, and can run 2000 kilometers without rework.
