My name is Lu Congju, and I am 49 years old this year. The 12 years I worked as a reed threading worker at Hubei Jinlong Company have been an incredibly precious and fulfilling time in my life.

Before starting work every day, I meticulously prepare by wiping the brown silk, waxing carefully, and evenly brushing the reed surface. I am well aware that if the reed is dirty, even the highest quality thread cannot weave high-quality fabric. As a crucial second process in weaving, the importance of threading is self-evident. Once a thread is threaded incorrectly, the entire batch of fabric may face the risk of being scrapped. Over the years, with my superb skills, I was able to thread nearly 6000 threads in a day at the fastest. Sitting at the workstation for a long time, it is common to experience lower back pain and swollen feet, but every thread is closely related to the quality of the fabric, and I dare not be careless at all.

I chose Hubei Jinlong because it is close to home, which allows me to balance work and better take care of the elderly and children at home. The work in the factory cannot tolerate any mistakes, and my family cannot do without my care. Both sides require me to manage with care. Although the work is very hard, when I see my efforts turn into exquisite pieces of fabric, that sense of achievement and satisfaction arises naturally, and all exhaustion instantly dissipates. Over the past 12 years, I have not only adhered to machines, but also made solemn promises to every piece of cloth. Only by threading the thread accurately and without errors can our days be woven steadily and steadily. Every piece of cloth embodies the persistent pursuit of quality by Jinlong people, and also witnesses the inheritance and persistence of our craftsmanship spirit.
