1、 Preparation before Coverage

Check the quality of the tarpaulin: Ensure that the tarpaulin is not damaged, leaking, or aged.

Measurement size: The size of the tarpaulin should be slightly larger than the size of the carriage to ensure complete coverage of the goods and sufficient margin for fixing.

Cleaning the vehicle: Ensure that the vehicle compartment is clean and free of debris, and avoid damaging the tarpaulin.

2、 Steps for covering with tarpaulin

Select coverage starting point: Start covering from one end of the front or rear of the car, fix one end of the tarpaulin, and then gradually unfold along the body of the car.
Keep it flat: When unfolding the tarpaulin, keep it flat to avoid wrinkles or accumulation.

Fix the four corners of the tarpaulin:

Tighten the four corners of the tarpaulin so that the corners of the tarpaulin unfold inward into a triangular shape. After flattening both sides of the corners, fold them towards the end wall of the truck.

The corner rope passes through the inner side of the pressure rope, hand-held hook or handbrake lever, and is tightened in an "X" shape, tied to the T-shaped iron at both ends of the vehicle.

Fixed edge of tarpaulin:

End ropes: The two end ropes at each end of the tarpaulin should be tightened and tied vertically to the two T-shaped irons at the end of the vehicle, passing through a hand-held hook or handbrake rod.

Compression rope: The compression rope at each end of the tarpaulin should press down on the corners of the tarpaulin and tighten it tightly, so that the tarpaulin is tightly attached to the end wall of the vehicle, and then tied to the T-shaped iron on the side of the vehicle.

Waist rope: There is a T-shaped iron in the middle of the vehicle, and the waist rope in the middle of the tarpaulin is tied to the T-shaped iron in the middle of the vehicle; If there is no T-shaped iron in the middle of the vehicle, the waist rope in the middle of the tarpaulin should be tied to the T-shaped iron near the middle of the vehicle.

Adjust the tension of the tarpaulin: The hanging height of the tarpaulin on both sides should be consistent. One end of the manual brake should have the tarpaulin hanging down to cover the end wall with a height of 300mm-500mm, and the other end should have the tarpaulin hanging down to cover the end wall with a height of about 600mm.

Check the condition of the tarpaulin: Ensure that the tarpaulin is flat, wrinkle free, firmly fixed, and does not cover the license plate and vehicle number.

3、 Special case handling

Cargo loading height: Open top trucks with cargo loading height exceeding 1m above the end wall or with escorts on board shall not be covered with tarpaulins.

Tarpaulin bracket: When the cargo loading height is lower than the side wall of the vehicle end, a tarpaulin bracket can be installed. Anti wear measures should be taken at the protruding part of the bracket in contact with the tarpaulin.

Reinforcement in severe weather: under severe weather conditions such as strong wind and rainstorm, the inspection and fixation of tarpaulin shall be strengthened, the tarpaulin shall be stopped regularly to check its status, and it shall be adjusted and reinforced in time.

4、 Tent storage

Cleaning and drying: After use, clean the tarpaulin and fold it neatly after drying.

Storage environment: Store in a dry and ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight and humid environments to extend the service life of the tarpaulin.
